Real-name registration requirement
Starting February 2025, international travelers must complete the required procedures and requirements, including real-name registration, in order to activate the eSIM from Advanced Info Service (AIS).
It is recommended to complete real-name registration and install the eSIM within 24 hours before departure.
The usage period will begin once the eSIM is scanned and installed, and it will be calculated based on the local time zone. One day is counted as 24 hours from the activation time on that day.
Please install the eSIM on the day of travel to avoid the usage period starting earlier than intended.
This eSIM is a domestic prepaid SIM for Thailand. If you install it outside Thailand, you may see messages such as “Activating” or “Activation Failed.” Please do not delete the eSIM for this reason, as it cannot be reissued once deleted. You can install or activate the eSIM again after arriving in Thailand.
If you are installing this eSIM in Thailand, please ensure that your original phone number is connected to the AIS network. If your current carrier is automatically roaming on the AIS network, please disable your original number and install the eSIM using Wi-Fi, or switch the roaming network of your original number to a provider other than AIS. This will help ensure the correct installation of the Thailand eSIM from Advanced Info Service (AIS).
Preparation Before Real-Name Registration

Prepare the ICCID (the last 13 digits of the SIM card number) and the phone number shown on your order receipt.

Prepare a valid identification document (Thai ID card or foreign passport).

Please complete the real-name registration before departure on the AIS registration website.
ESIM Installation and Activation

It is recommended to complete the real-name registration before traveling, and the registration can be done outside Thailand.

However, you should install and activate the eSIM after arriving in Thailand. If you install it outside Thailand, the plan may start earlier and the usage period may begin counting even if you have not started using it yet.
To avoid any issues, please follow this order:

Registration Limit

One passport can register up to 3 eSIMs only.

The passport used for real-name registration will remain registered until the eSIM expires. During this time, the same passport cannot be used to register another AIS SIM card or eSIM.

After the eSIM expires, the passport can be used again for real-name registration.
ข้อกำหนดการลงทะเบียนยืนยันตัวตน
ตั้งแต่ กุมภาพันธ์ 2025 เป็นต้นไป นักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติจำเป็นต้องดำเนินการตามขั้นตอนที่กำหนด รวมถึง การลงทะเบียนยืนยันตัวตน (Real-name registration) เพื่อเปิดใช้งาน eSIM ของ AIS
แนะนำให้ทำการลงทะเบียนยืนยันตัวตนและติดตั้ง eSIM ภายใน 24 ชั่วโมงก่อนออกเดินทาง
ระยะเวลาการใช้งานจะเริ่มต้นเมื่อ สแกนและติดตั้ง eSIM และจะคำนวณตาม เขตเวลาท้องถิ่น โดย 1 วัน = 24 ชั่วโมง นับจากเวลาที่เปิดใช้งานในวันนั้น
ควรติดตั้ง eSIM ในวันเดินทาง เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงการเริ่มนับเวลาการใช้งานก่อนกำหนด
eSIM นี้เป็น ซิมแบบเติมเงินสำหรับใช้ภายในประเทศไทยเท่านั้น หากติดตั้งนอกประเทศไทย อาจปรากฏข้อความ เช่น “Activating” หรือ “Activation Failed” กรุณา อย่าลบ eSIM เพราะหากลบแล้วจะไม่สามารถออกใหม่ได้ สามารถติดตั้งหรือเปิดใช้งานอีกครั้งได้เมื่อเดินทางถึงประเทศไทย
หากติดตั้ง eSIM ในประเทศไทย โปรดตรวจสอบว่าหมายเลขโทรศัพท์เดิมของคุณเชื่อมต่อกับเครือข่าย AIS หรือไม่ หากผู้ให้บริการเดิมของคุณโรมมิ่งบนเครือข่าย AIS โดยอัตโนมัติ ให้ปิดหมายเลขเดิมและติดตั้ง eSIM ผ่าน Wi-Fi หรือเปลี่ยนเครือข่ายโรมมิ่งของหมายเลขเดิมไปยังผู้ให้บริการอื่นที่ไม่ใช่ AIS เพื่อให้ติดตั้ง eSIM ได้อย่างถูกต้อง
การเตรียมตัวก่อนลงทะเบียน

กรุณาลงทะเบียนยืนยันตัวตนก่อนออกเดินทางบนเว็บไซต์ลงทะเบียนของ AIS
การติดตั้งและเปิดใช้งาน eSIM
- แนะนำให้ทำ การลงทะเบียนยืนยันตัวตนก่อนเดินทาง โดยสามารถลงทะเบียน นอกประเทศไทยได้
- อย่างไรก็ตาม ควร ติดตั้งและเปิดใช้งาน eSIM หลังจากเดินทางมาถึงประเทศไทยแล้ว หากติดตั้งนอกประเทศไทย แพ็กเกจอาจเริ่มทำงานก่อน และระยะเวลาการใช้งานอาจเริ่มนับแม้ว่าคุณยังไม่ได้ใช้งานจริง

ข้อจำกัดในการลงทะเบียน
